DevOps Engineer (AWS & LAMP)
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will have three or more years experience in managing Linux environments on AWS with prior experience in PHP Laravel and WordPress application deployment and security hardening (at the server level).

Location: This position is on-site at our office in Pelawatte, Battaramulla.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management:
- Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Redhat ) for optimal performance and security.
- Managing Apache / Nginx / Litespeed web server configurations, virtual hosts, and modules.
- Setting up and maintaining MySQL databases, including replication, backup, and performance tuning.
- Configuring and optimizing PHP environments, extensions, and settings.
Automation and CI/CD:
- Developing and maintaining automation scripts (e.g., shell scripting, Python) for server provisioning, application deployment, and configuration management.
- Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of LAMP-based applications.
- Integrating tools like Github CI/CD, or similar for continuous integration and delivery.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Setting up and managing monitoring tools (e.g., Uptime monitor, NewRelic, AWS Cloudwatch ) to track server performance, application health, and database metrics.
- Proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, server issues, and application errors.
- Implement logging solutions and analyzing logs for troubleshooting and security auditing.
Security and Compliance:
- Implementing security best practices for Linux servers, Apache, MySQL, and PHP applications.
- Managing firewalls, access controls, and user permissions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
- Vulnerability Assessments and support Development teams to rectify issues.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborating with development teams to understand application requirements and optimize infrastructure.
- Working with other operations teams to ensure smooth system operations and incident management.
- Documenting infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration.
- Expertise in configuring and managing Apache, Nginx, Litespeed web servers.
- In-depth knowledge of MySQL database administration and performance optimization.
- Experience with PHP environment configuration and optimization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and automation tools
- Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and managing LAMP stacks.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
